We strive for safety as one of our main goals here in our program This means safety in several ways:

• Safety on site: 
  • Clean Classrooms & buildings (Maintenance helps with this, any issues regarding this are consulted with Joe Manente the Facilities Manager)
  • Improving the flow of traffic/parking during drop off & pick up
  • Volunteer parking permits in designated zones
  • Safe environment for students and catechists
  • Staff available on site during emergencies
  • Hall Monitors
  • Volunteers to collect screening forms and take temperatures
• Safety online:
  • Monitoring Online Portal in compliance with Save Environment
  • Transparency through communication via email, website, & social media
  • Students not allowed to contact staff or volunteers directly
  • Communication ONLY with parents and guardians
• Safety for the home:
  • Parents responsible for covering the required Children's Safe Environment curriculum
  • Transparency regarding SE curriculum
  • Confidentiality/Transparency regarding familiy situations and custody situations
• Compliance with Archdiocese of NY's Safe Environment Program:
  • Complete our annual Crisis Report every year
  • Developing a Crisis Team/Committee
  • All new catechists are required to fill out paperwork and pass a background check
  • Catechist background checks are renewed every 5 years
